Online Forum: "Why Did You Leave Me on "Read"? Understanding Youth and the Social Media Culture"

CrossWork Christian Center Presents its first in a series of summer forums, “Why did you leave me on “READ”? Understanding Youth and the Social Media Culture.” Ever wonder about the fascination young people have with Snapchat, Instagram or TicTok? Are your child’s social media habits causing you grief? Parents and all who are curious are invited to listen to a presentation by and a conversation with Dr. S. Craig Watkins (@scraigwatkins), Ernest S. Sharpe Centennial Professor at the University of Texas at Austin (https://journalism.utexas.edu/faculty…). Dr. Watkins will help us understand youth and their deep immersion into social media and why it can be beneficial. Originally aired July 15, 2020, via Facebook Live.
